What We Sell
Our aquaponics farm is capable of growing a variety of leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens. Our supply is based on the needs of our customers and are therefore subject to change.
Frilly KaleWanting a kale that offers all the nutritional benefits of kale but that doesn’t require any massaging or prep? Our kale is so tender that we often use it as a lettuce substitute. Use it to make your good ol’ fashioned kale chips or try it in kale Caesar salad (a Waterwheel favourite).
Oakleaf (Salad Bowl) LettuceWith its excellent texture, lime-green colour and mild, sweet flavour, our Oakleaf lettuce has certainly earned its ‘Salad bowl’ nickname. Its tenderness and texture makes an amazing salad that will have friends and family asking for more.
Pea ShootsWith their strong, sweet flavour as through you were eating peas straight from the pod, pea shoots are a great alternative to peas, offering different textures for dishes. Popular as salad bases or in stir frys, pea shoots are a great way to add protein to your diet.
Sunflower ShootsA superfood in their own right, sunflower shoots are approximately 25% protein and are loaded with fibre, minerals, and vitamins. Their large, succulent leaves offer a mild but sweet taste with hints of carrot. They make a nutritious snack for anyone on the go or a nice addition to salads.
Broccoli MicrogreensAlready considered one of the most nutritious superfoods out there, broccoli microgreens are loaded with vitamins and minerals. But when eaten raw, they also provide the cancer-fighting compound sulforaphane and at higher levels than their mature counterpart. A must-have for anyone looking to boost their nutrition and health.
Arugula MicrogreensLooking to add bit of kick to your dishes? Then try our arugula microgreens. On top of being one of the tastiest microgreens in existence, arugula is comprised of up to 25% protein, abundant in vitamins, minerals, and essential amino acids. Its rich and spicy flavour is great in salads, in soup, and on top of pizza.
